Hoogeveen (NED), 12-18.10.2003
cat. XVIII (2690)

06.11.2003
I won in first two rounds but then lost to Beshukov in round 3. Then I won again. After 5 rounds Semen Dvoiris took the lead. After I beat him, we exchanged our places. I was the sole leader until the round 8, when Izoria caught up with me. In the last round our game ended in a draw (I played with black pieces) and we shared 1-2 places. The Buhgolz coefficient did not affected the prize sum but Izoria obtained a glass cup. Anyway it is better to be the first one than the second one.

Technical results:
1-2. Z.Izoria, E.Inarkiev - 7 of 9
3-5. N.Pert, I.Rogers, A.Motylev - 6.5 of 9
6-11. I.Glek, S.Grigoriants, D.Stellwagen, E.l'Ami, R.Janssen - 6 of 9, etc.
