[Perhaps, better is: 16...£d6 , which may be followed by: 17.£f3 ¦ad8 18.¦ad1 , and White exerts some pressure on Black's position; or: 16...h6 17.¥h4 ¤d7 18.¥g3] 17.£f3 ¦ad8 18.¦ad1 £c7 Black acknowledges his mistake in move 16. He does not want to alter the pawn structure by exchanging on c3, but then he experiences problems with choosing some useful move. The tension in the center is in White's favour since he has some spatial advantage. 19.¥c2 Nevertheless, Black's position is extremely firm, all the black pieces are centralized and some drastic measures are demended from White to shake Black's defence. 19...g6?! With this move Black weakens the f6-square and the pressure against his d5 and f6-knights mounts. Perhaps, I would have otherwise played a2-a3 and £d3 in order to weaken the f6-square. 20.¥b3 The white bishop is 'returning to the base' after having completed his mission, in order to pressurize the d5-square. 20...¢g7 21.¦c1! White escalates the pressure and Black fails to hold it. 21...£c8? [Duiring the game I thought that even after 21...£b8 , White wins with 22.¤xf7!? , in view of: 22...¢xf7 (if 22...¥xf7 , then 23.¦xe7 ¦xe7 24.¤xd5 ¤xd5 25.¥xe7+-) 23.¤xd5 cxd5 (stronger is 23...¦xd5!) 24.¦xe6 ¢xe6 25.¦e1 ¢f7 (25...¢d7 26.¥xf6 ¥d6 27.¦c1) 26.¦xe7 ¢xe7 27.£xf6 ¢d7 28.¥f4 However, the computer points out: 28...¦e1! 29.¢h2 ¦f8!
